Many companies will not divulge your address, phone and other contact
information to us, and we respect that. Still, we believe it is in your
interest as well, to contact us at least once by any method, to verify
with a real person, your vital vacation details. Please consider sending
us this information.
Some of the problem areas that are experienced by
hotels regarding online bookings include:
Booking duplicate reservations, sometimes two
family members will book a vacation unbeknownst to the other partner,
and we need to double charge for both rooms. Being that we are a small
company, losing a room night will make a difference to us, and we would
be obligated to charge the guest for this error. If we have contact
information, we can check to see if a mistake was made.
Wrong Rate Quote - Insufficient data given,
submitted to hotel so that total rates can be verified prior to arrival.
This includes actual number of people in room, pets, certain add on
packages available
Wrong Total Charge Quote - including all taxes and
local charges, most lodging facilities in our resort charge a
service amount, that guest is not aware of along with tax. There are two
additional charges at our inn: one is 9% for the state tax, and one is
9% for hotel gratuity (sometimes these charges do not calculate on a
third party booking system, ie., priceline.com.)
Pets will change the reservation. We do have a
pet policy, and this must be known by the hotel in advance. We cannot
accept a pet without advanced notice. There are very important measures
that we must take, to insure that all of our guests are able to enjoy
their stay. |
