excursion boat, sailing daily from Shoreham, Vermont, just across the lake
from Ticonderoga, NY. This off-the-beaten-path, family owned and operated
boat built in 1990 in the style of the 1920's Thousand Island luxury cruise

Shoreham, VT which played such an important role in the development of our
country.
- Some points of interest are:
- Hand's Cove
where the Green Mountain Boys met to capture Fort Ticonderoga May 10th,
1775.

fort on the American continent to be attacked six times by six great
armies in one generation.

cannon to drive the Continental Army from Fort Ticonderoga in July 1777.

-
Lock # 12 the first of the
locks linking Lake Champlain to the Hudson River.
The captain's live commentary drops you
through time from the present to the 1770's as he describes these places.
Little known historic anecdotes and local yarns add spice to the narration.
In addition to the majesty of the forts and mountains, your group will enjoy
the beauty of wildlife and nature on the unspoiled shoreline of Southern

lake, and the warm water maintains the foliage ALL THROUGH OCTOBER.
